Is Bağ-Kur membership enough?

The bill summary names pensioned tradespeople and craftspeople and registered farmers receiving an old-age pension because of agricultural activity. Membership of the 4/B system alone is not enough to establish proposed eligibility without checking the category and other conditions.

The five-year period from retirement, one-time use and five-year transfer restriction in the summary are proposals. They are not current application rules, permissions or penalties. The final arrangement may change.

Why an exempt price cannot be quoted today

Because this bill has not commenced, it cannot justify a retiree-specific purchase price for a particular model. Savings tables based on old list prices or previous electric-vehicle tax rates do not establish a current offer.

As a mathematical illustration only, a pre-tax amount B and SCT rate r produce a price of B × (1 + r) × (1 + VAT rate), before other charges. If a valid exemption actually applies, the SCT multiplier is removed. The formula does not prove eligibility, a current tax rate or a dealer price; other charges must also be considered.

Checks before deciding

Rental is one option for meeting a transport need. Service scope and price-adjustment terms come from the written offer and contract; it does not provide unlimited protection from future tax changes.

• Ask the dealer for a dated written breakdown of taxes. Do not commit payment against a hypothetical discount.
• Compare purchase and rental over the same period and mileage, including energy, insurance, maintenance, resale value and contract exit costs.
